US Presidential Candidates to Discuss Crypto
Coinbase’s “Stand With Crypto” campaign is planning a 2024 US presidential election forum in New Hampshire on December 11. Candidates Asa Hutchinson, Vivek Ramaswamy, and Dean Phillips will discuss blockchain and digital assets. The forum is designed to provide candidates with an opportunity to address the crypto community on various policies. New Hampshire’s primary on January 23 is crucial in the presidential race, with President Biden and Trump as likely frontrunners.
Trump has been leading against other candidates, with Kennedy Jr. emerging as a significant contender. The impact of the crypto forum on the election remains uncertain, as top candidates rarely discuss crypto, while Kennedy Jr. and Ramaswamy have made digital assets key topics in their campaigns. Former President of El Salvador Nayib Bukele, known for supporting Bitcoin as legal tender and purchasing it for the government, resigned to run in 2024.
