“Top Tier” NFTs Stolen in NFT Trader Hack
Attackers have stolen around $3 million worth of NFTs from the NFT Trader peer-to-peer trading application, including 37 Bored Apes, 13 Mutant Apes, and NFTs from the VeeFriends and World of Women collections.
The stolen NFTs are priced at around $3 million, but the hacker may not be able to liquidate them for that amount. The attackers claimed to be copycats and requested victims to send additional ETH to get their NFTs back.
They also requested 10% of the Ape floor price, which is likely an additional scam. NFT holders were urged to revoke access to NFT Trader, as the platform seemed aware of the attack but unable to stop it.
NFT Trader was able to thwart the attacker, likely thanks to help from community members who pointed out a way to shut down the contract.
