TCS Builds 1K Generative AI-Ready Workforce
Tata Consultancy Services, India’s largest IT services provider, has announced over 250 generative AI jobs and trained over 100,000 personnel in the sector, illustrating the rising tech frontier as global behemoths compete for dominance.
TCS, a Mumbai-based technology firm, has created its AI.Cloud unit, which combines its three hyperscale-dedicated cloud units and data scientists and AI/machine learning experts. The company posted a net profit of Rs 11,342 crore for the September quarter, up 8.7% year on year, thanks to a healthy order book, particularly in the BFSI sector. The order book for the corporation was at $11.2 billion, the second-highest quarterly transaction total contract value to date. Cloud migration, composite data foundation, application modernization, workplace transformation, and edge to cloud, together with AI adoption frameworks, drove the company’s growth in Q2.
