STPI sets-up hub to incubate blockchain startups
State-run Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) has established an incubation facility at its Gurugram campus, aiming to incubate 100 startups within five years. The Apiary Center of Entrepreneurship (CoE) at STPI-Gurugram, a Blockchain Technology-focused CoE, was established in collaboration with MeitY, STPI, Haryana government, Padup Ventures, IBM, Intel, GBA, and FITT.
The facility was inaugurated by Electronics and Information Technology Secretary S Krishnan, who praised the young entrepreneurs’ use of cutting-edge technology to address real-world problems. The CoE has a fully furnished 7,000 square foot incubation infrastructure, including 80 plug-n-play seats, conference rooms, and an auditorium. STPI Director General Arvind Kumar praised the facility as a step towards India’s digital transformation.
