SkyBridge Capital, led by Anthony Scaramucci, is moving $300 million of assets from two funds into tokenized form on the Avalanche blockchain. The initiative, representing 10% of SkyBridge’s total assets under management, is among the largest tokenization steps by a U.S.-based investment manager.
Working with Tokeny, SkyBridge will digitize one fund that invests in cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and a second “fund of funds” that combines SkyBridge’s venture and crypto strategies. Tokenization, which creates digital versions of traditional assets on a blockchain, aims to cut costs, reduce intermediaries, and enable faster transactions.
Scaramucci said he sees 2026–2027 as the era of large-scale real-world asset tokenization, with more funds likely shifting to blockchain. Avalanche, which currently secures around $2 billion in assets, will host the products, offering accessibility and transparency. The move comes as tokenization gains traction in global finance, drawing attention from major institutions seeking to modernize investment structures.
