PUBG Developer Krafton Ventures Into Cosmos With Settlus Blockchain
The popular PUBG: Battlegrounds developer Krafton, located in South Korea, is foraying into the blockchain market with Settlus, a Cosmos-based blockchain that aims to make transparent settlements for content creators easier.
Osmosis founder Josh Lee recently revealed that the Cosmos-based chain will be introduced by Krafton.
According to the company’s website, Settlus is a blockchain designed specifically for the creator economy. Features include the use of NFTs for royalty rights, on-demand payouts via transparent transaction records, stablecoin-based gas prices, and bridgeless NFT interoperability.
In March 2022, Krafton announced its blockchain gaming project on Solana, but no products have yet been released. Early in 2024, Settlus will deploy its testnet, taking a further step toward fusing blockchain technology with the rapidly expanding creator economy.
