Blockchain firm Plasma has acquired a Virtual Asset Service Provider license in Italy as part of its expansion across Europe.
The company, focused on stablecoin payments, will now operate as Plasma Italia SrL and open a new office in Amsterdam under Plasma Nederland BV.
The move allows Plasma to handle regulated crypto transactions and custody services. It also plans to seek a Crypto Asset Service Provider and EMI license under MiCA, enabling asset exchange, card issuance, and customer fund management in the EU.
