NVIDIA, Microsoft, and Amazon are purportedly in talks to invest up to $60 billion in OpenAI. This move could value the AI company at $730 billion before funding. The discussions point to growing competition to secure strategic positions in artificial intelligence.
According to a report by the technology journalism company – The Information, NVIDIA is considering the largest investment, potentially up to $30 billion.
This step will strengthen its role as OpenAI’s key hardware partner. Microsoft working closely with OpenAI since 2019, may invest under $10 billion, while Amazon could promise more than $10 billion.
Notable to say, NVIDIA and OpenAI signed plans in late 2025 to deploy massive AI data center capacity using next-generation chips. OpenAI now serves over 700 million weekly users as it pushes toward artificial general intelligence.
The company has positioned NVIDIA as its preferred partner for both computing and networking. If completed, the funding round would further cement OpenAI’s dominance and deepen ties between leading AI developers and cloud infrastructure giants.
