Nansen: Total ETH locked Touch All-Time High
The latest information on the total amount of ETH locked has been released by blockchain data and research platform Nansen. The most recent figures show that following the Shapella upgrade, the total amount of ETH locked has reached an all-time high.
According to Nansen statistics, 18,879,775 ETH are currently locked. Ether that has been locked up is ether that is not in use. These consist of ETH that has been staked on the beacon chain, ETH that has been deposited into the beacon contract but has not yet been validated, and rewards on the beacon contract.
894,671 ETH are awaiting a full exit, according to fresh statistics supplied by the blockchain data platform. The data also shows that 27,809 validators are also awaiting a full exit. 86.4% of validators have changed the 0x01 withdrawal address, according to Nansen.
The analytics platform highlighted that there could be a potential negative balance wave as withdrawals are processed in the coming days.
