Microsoft Earmarks $4.3 bn for AI/Cloud Projects in France
Microsoft is investing $4.3 billion in tech projects in France, marking its largest investment in the country in its 41-year history. The investment will focus on cloud and artificial intelligence infrastructure, AI skilling, and French Tech acceleration, with the goal of training 1 million people and supporting 2,500 AI startups by 2027.
This is Microsoft’s largest investment in France in its 41-year history of doing business there. The announcement was part of the annual “Choose France” summit, aiming to make France a financial hub for Europe. Amazon will invest over $14 billion globally this year, including a $1.29 billion AI-focused program. Microsoft is also expanding its data center footprint in the Paris and Marseille regions.
