The metaverse, according to many technology enthusiasts, has the potential to transform every aspect of human life, from work to education to leisure. And now, according to new Cornell research, the metaverse may have environmental benefits as well, perhaps lowering global surface temperature by up to 0.02 degrees Celsius by the end of the century.

Yes, you heard it right! According to the research, the burgeoning metaverse industry has the potential to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the United States by 2050. Metaverse industry could potentially reduce greenhouse gas emissions, atmospheric carbon dioxide concentration and total domestic energy consumption. Also, metaverse based remote working, distance learning, and virtual tourism can improve air quality.

Celio, a menswear brand, is ready to enter the Metaverse with Mumbai-based rapper Emiway Bantai. Celio’s fashion skill and Emiway Bantai’s musical prowess are combined in this collaboration to produce a unique collection inspired by Emiway’s latest album, King Of The Streets in the metaverse.

Well, brands are utilising the potential of the metaverse to attract more consumers, particularly Gen Z.

Well, there is another fashion brand which is testing the waters of metaverse.

Loro Piana, a premium fashion brand, is embracing the metaverse to enhance its unique perspective on luxury. Loro Piana introduced a series of new projects to commemorate the opening of its new shop in Palo Alto, California, focused at integrating its particular brand of discreet luxury with the metaverse.

Xavatar, an AI entertainment startup based in Ireland, has reached an agreement with Fexco Group to handle payments in their metaverse.
