Metaverse Studio Karta Secures Investment
After a successful funding round, the metaverse studio Karta has raised $1.1 million from prominent names in the music, gaming, sports, and financial industries.
Karta, a start-up founded in 2021 by Tony Barnes, a veteran of the music business, and Erik Londré, a former head of events at Fnatic, intends to make the metaverse available to artists, businesses, and sports rights holders.
The fresh investment gives Karta a boost to meet the rising demand for virtual worlds.
Amy Thomson, an artist manager and the former chief catalogue officer of Hipgnosis, is among the personalities from the music industry who participated in the most recent fundraising round, which was sponsored by venture capital firm GameTech Ventures.
We will need the money raised in order to meet the rising demand for metaverse experiences.
