McDonald’s Launches Its First Metaverse Experience McNuggets Land

Fast food giant McDonald’s has launched a new metaverse experience using the virtual world of The Sandbox.
According to a statement from Animoca Brands, the company behind The Sandbox, McDonald’s Hong Kong has built a new metaverse game experience called “McNuggets Land” celebrating the 40th anniversary of Chicken McNuggets.
McNuggets Land offers users an immersive journey through a hidden factory and a historical tour of the popular McNuggets. Users can explore the history of McNuggets in a virtual art gallery, and can also serve the snack to customers in the virtual McDonald’s-themed game experience and participate in other mini-games to challenge their digital skills.
McNuggets Land also offers quests and challenges to gamers that stand to win The Sandbox utility token that is SAND tokens. These tokens can be utilized to purchase virtual goods and customize avatars within the platform.
Moreover, users from Hong Kong have the opportunity to win exclusive 365-day free Chicken McNuggets coupons, redeemable at any of the chain’s restaurants.
