Linea Completes Final Stage Of Mainnet Launch
Linea, a zero-knowledge Ethereum Virtual Machine rollup solution, has launched its mainnet with an ERC-20 token bridge, allowing third-party bridges to integrate with the network. This will open up decentralized finance apps. Users of MetaMask’s Buy crypto aggregator won’t need network fees to on-ramp USDC.e, a wrapped version of Circle’s dollar-backed stablecoin.
Linea, a rollup on Ethereum, has seen over 150 dApps deploy since its launch in July, with over 100,000 weekly active users returning. The network has processed $2.7 million in the past 30 days and has a total value locked of $31 million, accounting for 0.3% of the market share among all Ethereum layer-2s. The team is working on a unique prover technology called Vortex, which follows a two-step system using an inner proof and an outer proof.
