INDIAai Working Groups May Submit AI Framework
Union Minister of State for Electronics and Technology (MeitY) Rajeev Chandrasekhar told Moneycontrol earlier this year in March that India’s AI framework will have a defined set of do’s and don’ts that will promote innovation while also preventing consumer harm.
With Artificial Intelligence gaining popularity, the seven working groups formed under India’s National Artificial Intelligence Programme informed the Economic Times that they expect to provide proposals for a comprehensive framework controlling Al in the next two weeks.
The primary programme INDIAai charged the seven working groups with developing a data governance framework for AI, establishing an India Data Management Office, and researching the regulatory implications of Al.
The report made by the seven working groups will be combined into one and will be submitted to the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology the official disclosed.
