India Witnesses 14 Times Growth In AI Talent
According to a LinkedIn survey, the number of trained AI professionals in India increased 14 times between January 2016 and June 2023. India, along with Singapore, Finland, Ireland, and Canada, are among the top five countries with the biggest rise in AI talent as a result of this surge.
In a report titled “Future of Work: State of Work @ AI,” LinkedIn highlighted its findings from India, noting that 43% of its users had noticed an increase in the use of AI at work over the previous year.
As a result of this uptick, 71% of Gen Z professionals in India now believe that learning AI capabilities could advance their job prospects.
A survey revealed that 2 out of every three workers want to learn at least one digital skill this year, with AI and Machine Learning being prominent. 57% of executives aim to increase their organizations’ AI usage, indicating businesses are investing in upskilling their workforce for flexibility and adaptability. In India, 91% of senior executives recognize the growing importance of AI skills, surpassing the global average of 72%. Additionally, 7 out of every ten professionals believe that soft skills like creativity and problem-solving empower them to offer a novel work perspective.
