Immutable zkEVM Begins Testnet Phase
Immutable, a Web3 game platform, and Polygon Labs have started testing Immutable zkEVM in public.
Immutable has launched the zero-knowledge Ethereum Virtual Machine network, partnering with Polygon Labs.
The “holy grail” Ethereum-scaling zkEVM, launched on March 27, provides game developers with lower development costs and security features.
CoinArcade, Galaxy Commanders, Mediaeval Empires, MetalCore, Meta Toy, DragonZ SAGA, Rune Realms, Shardbound, Infinite Victory, EF Defence, and SimWin Football are just a few of the games that have started developing Web3 titles on zkEVM.
On Immutable zkEVM, MetalCore will open its beta on September 15. The Immutable zkEVM testnet uses zero-knowledge proofs to secure transfers between itself and Sepolia Ethereum, allowing developers to test the mainnet version.
The network is fully compatible with Ethereum applications, allowing minimal changes for Ethereum projects. Immutable plans to deploy an “Immutable Relayer for currency abstraction and gas sponsorship” soon, enabling developers to create gas-less wallet accounts.
