Hoichi has unveiled Torii Gateway, a cross-chain bridge connecting Shibarium to more than 60 blockchains and over 1,500 tokens. The announcement came during the Shy Speaks podcast with Shiba Inu lead developer Shytoshi Kusama and Hoichi’s co-founders, Stan and Samantha.
The Gateway links networks such as Ethereum, BaseChain, and Arbitrum, offering seamless interoperability for users. Kusama said the effort was “pretty darn important” to Shibarium’s long-term vision. Stan likened it to highways connecting countries, enabling assets to move freely across networks.
Hoichi plans to integrate non-EVM blockchains like Solana and Tron in future upgrades. Additional goals include fiat on- and off-ramps, staking opportunities, and improved rewards for community members. Samantha noted the project is designed as an all-encompassing entry point for crypto newcomers, ultimately drawing them into Shibarium as their base ecosystem.
