Gen Z Fear AI Will Cause Job Instability
A BML Munjal University report reveals that 63% of Generation Z students are concerned about the impact of AI on traditional job roles and employment stability. Currently comprising 40% of global consumers and a significant portion of the future workforce, the report reveals that 65% of Gen Zs believe AI will significantly impact various aspects of human life, while 33% believe it will have some impact on society and daily life in the future.
Traditional job roles, such as manufacturing assembly line workers, data entry clerks, and bank tellers, have been largely unchanged for decades. However, a UN study suggests that AI technologies may augment rather than destroy jobs, with job market uncertainties and potential job displacement being the main challenges. The study also highlights the concern of 44% of Gen Z students about job displacement due to AI advancements.
