Game4Ukraine Use Metaverse for Fundraising
In addition to the actual event, Game4Ukraine, a charity football match declared by the president of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, will also be played at a virtual stadium for those in the metaverse, with special benefits.
On August 5, a celebrity game will be played at Chelsea’s Stamford Bridge in London.
According to the website, this game will be like your Panini sticker album coming to life. Panini was the first firm to make collectible football stickers in the 1960s.
The “official metaverse watch party,” organised by content provider Global Fan Network (GFN) and metaverse technology firm Improbable, will be aired internationally and will be shown in the UK.
A metaverse-only halftime show and “special” interviews will be part of the occasion.
The press announcement claims that viewers from all over the world will be able to communicate live with the hosts, the players interviewed, and each other.
