Three Chinese firms, led by AI software company Beijing Fourth Paradigm, are aiming to raise up to $280 million in Hong Kong initial public offerings launched on 18 September 2023.
Beijing Fourth Paradigm, an AI startup, is aiming to raise up to $144 million by selling 18.4 million shares in a price range of HK$55.60 to HK$61.16 each, according to its regulatory filings.
AI Defense Startup Helsing Raises $223 mn to ‘Protect Democracies’
European AI defense developer Helsing announced that it raised 209 million Euros—around $223 million worth—in Series B funding led by venture capital firm General Catalyst. Swedish airplane and car manufacturer Saab joined as a strategic investor, as well.
Launched in 2021, Helsing focuses on developing AI-enabled military applications and components, including for the upcoming update to the NATO Eurofighter warplane and the Future Combat Air System (FCAS) program.
Martech Startup Pixis Bags $85 mn Funding To Scale Its AI-Powered Product Suite
AI-powered martech startup Pixis has raised $85 Mn as part of its Series C1 funding round led by Touring Capital.
The round also saw participation from the startup’s existing and new investors, including Grupo Carso, General Atlantic, Celesta Capital and Chiratae Ventures.

Investment firm Reverie announced a $20 million crypto venture fund called Reverie Fund One.
The firm provides monetary support for pre-seed and seed-stage startups. In addition, Reverie will play an advisory role in the investee’s community building, business model construction, marketing and more.
