ENS Domains Now Supported on PayPal and Venmo.

PayPal and Venmo have integrated Ethereum Name Service (ENS) domains, making crypto transactions easier and safer by allowing users to send Bitcoin using simple, human-readable names instead of long wallet addresses. This feature automatically resolves ENS names to addresses, minimizing errors and speeding up transactions. Both platforms also offer an Address Book to store and manage frequently used ENS names and wallet addresses for quicker transfers.

Sony Launches Soneium Blockchain Testnet, Airdrop Possible.

Sony has introduced Soneium, a blockchain platform using the “Minato” testnet that integrates Web3 technology for scalable development. Partnering with Astar Network and Chainlink, Soneium aims to enhance its capabilities. Early testnet users may receive token airdrops by engaging with the platform—linking wallets, requesting Sepolia ETH, exploring the network, joining Soneium’s Discord, and minting an XNAME domain can boost airdrop rewards.

SCA & VARA Sign Agreement to Regulate VASPs.

The UAE has strategically partnered with the Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA) and the Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA) and has united the future of virtual assets as a result of the partnership arrangements made between the two bodies.

It works as an alignment with global trends in establishing appropriate payment methods to facilitate the exchange of cryptocurrencies, thereby attracting investment from foreign entities.

The UAE has VASP laws on money laundering for companies. The message originates from a phone conversation between SCA CEO Maryam Buti Al Suwaidi and Weekly Wind Newspaper, which took place on August 8th. The entire exchange took place in English, during which they disclosed this information.

Justin Sun announced that the Tron Super Representatives Council is proposing to increase the energy quota from 120 billion to 150 billion to boost the network’s efficiency. This move aims to optimize TRX staking, reduce transaction costs, and enhance overall network performance by allowing more TRX to be staked, providing additional energy for smart contracts. The increase reflects Tron’s efforts to upgrade its blockchain in response to growing demand.

Ripple Renews NYU Abu Dhabi Partnership for Blockchain Research.

Ripple has renewed its partnership with NYU Abu Dhabi through the Blockchain Research Initiative (UBRI), contributing around $1 million to support blockchain research, talent development, and digital asset adoption in the UAE.
