Dairy Queen Opens NFT Pop-Up Store in China
Dairy Queen is partnering with Weirdo Ghost Gang (WGG) to create a pop-up NFT store in Chengdu, China. The “Ice and Snow Season” themed store will run from November 15 to December 31, featuring co-branded merchandise and exclusive perks for WGG NFT holders.
The project has a large following in the Asia-Pacific region and offers consumers a more nuanced understanding of WGG’s NFT art IP. The WGG collection features 5,555 “Lil Ghosts” NFTs created by Hong Kong Web3 holding company ManesLab in 2021.
The collection has surpassed 21,510 Ether worth $43.5 million in trading volume since inception and is currently worth $995.2. WGG has also launched events like the “City Party Map – Shanghai Station” and the “Ghost Season” event at Beijing’s affluent shopping hub The Box. During a crypto winter, many NFT projects have turned to partnerships with Web2 or traditional firms for marketing collaboration.
