Citigroup forecasts that the U.S. ETF market will grow to $25 trillion by 2030, driven by strong investor demand and record inflows. By the end of 2025, the market had already reached $13.46 trillion, supported by $1.48 trillion in annual inflows.
Equity ETFs led the expansion, attracting over $900 billion, while fixed-income ETFs also grew significantly. The projection highlights a broader shift toward ETFs as investors favor their transparency, cost efficiency, and flexibility.
Continued innovation across active and passive strategies is expected to further fuel growth, reinforcing ETFs as a dominant force in global investment markets and reshaping capital allocation trends.
