BitFlyer Complies With Travel Rule
Japan’s cryptocurrency exchanges are preparing for the implementation of the Financial Action Task Force’s anti-money laundering laws known as the Travel Rule.
On May 30, bitFlyer, a major Japanese crypto exchange, announced the implementation of measures in reaction to the implementation of tighter AML regulations targeting crypto transactions in Japan.
BitFlyer has implemented deposit and transfer limitations, preventing transactions to and from exchanges that are not members of the Travel Rule Universal Solution Technology (TRUST) network. Trust is a platform used by major industry players like as Coinbase and Crypto.com that allows exchanges to securely maintain customer data as needed by the Travel Rule.
