BinanceUS Halts Trading For BTC, Altcoins
Binance.US, the US branch of Binance, has announced its decision to discontinue trading for certain USD Advanced Trading pairs. This move is part of the exchange’s transition towards a “crypto-only” platform, supporting trading between cryptocurrencies and stablecoin pairs while eliminating trading against the US dollar. The affected cryptocurrencies include Bitcoin, Ethereum, BNB, Litecoin, Polygon MATIC, Cardano, Solana, VeChain, and USDC stablecoin.
The Advanced Trading section has closed on July 13 at 8 p.m. PDT / 11 p.m. EDT for trading ADA/USD, BNB/USD, BTC/USD, ETH/USD, LTC/USD, MATIC/USD, SOL/USD, USDC/USD, and VET/USD. However, USDT/USD Advanced Trading pairs will still be available. Users can trade over 150 cryptocurrencies on the platform using USDT pairs, and certain cryptocurrencies may support trading with BTC, BUSD, DAI, or TUSD.
BinanceUS has announced that users can now deposit XRP as the cryptocurrency is listed on their platform. Trading for the XRP/USDT advanced trading pair will commence on July 14, 2023, at 6:00 a.m. PDT or 9:00 a.m. EDT.
