Binance To Remove Privacy Coins
According to many sources, Binance, the largest cryptocurrency exchange by transaction volume, has announced the removal of 12 privacy-focused cryptocurrencies from its markets in Spain, France, Poland, and Italy. Users residing in these four countries will no longer be able to purchase or trade these privacy coins on Binance’s trading platform beginning June 26, 2023.
Binance has notified its users in France, Spain, Italy, and Poland through email that it plans to withdraw 12 different privacy coins from these markets. Dash (DASH), verge (XVG), beam (BEAM), monero (XMR), navcoin (NAV), firo (FIRO), horizen (ZEN), secret (SCRT), zcash (ZEC), pivx (PIVX), decred (DCR), and mobilecoin (MOB) are among the privacy currencies likely to be delisted.
On Wednesday, the major privacy coins lost 3.2% of their value against the US dollar. The total market capitalization of all existing privacy cryptocurrencies is currently over $5.73 billion, with monero (XMR) leading the pack. XMR is down 2.4% today, while DASH, the second-largest privacy cryptocurrency by market capitalization, is down 3.5%. Despite these losses, the top five privacy coins by market capitalization are performing well, according to seven-day statistics.
