BBC Will Block ChatGPT AI From Scraping Content
The BBC blocked ChatGPT’s artificial intelligence program from utilizing or accessing its content.
The BBC has joined Reuters, Getty Images, and other content providers in making this decision in response to copyright and privacy concerns. The data can be used by artificial intelligence to reuse information, producing new text, graphics, and more.
BBC director of nations Rhodri Talfan Davies has stated that the BBC is taking steps to protect the interests of license fee payers as AI technology evolves. He believes that scraping BBC data without permission is not in the public interest and wants to agree on a more structured and sustainable approach with technology companies. Furthermore many Companies are now attempting to monetize content for AI use, but this control is almost impossible to limit.
