Assassin’s The Killing Force Of Game-Fi
By Shikha Singh
Assassin’s Creed has just joined the NFT bandwagon. Video game giant Ubisoft and reality labs have collaborated to bring the Assassin’s Creed NFT collection into the Web3 realm.
“Assassin’s Creed Smart Collectibles,” tangible objects with game characters housed in glass cubes, are available for purchase by collectors. But there’s more to these trinkets than meets the eye. They are accompanied by matching NFTs and contain “digital souls”. I think this new version is full of excitement and offers lot many adds to hook the gamers on to it. Not to forget opportunity to monetise hard earned collectibles.
Owners of the NFTs can modify their collectibles by selecting weapons, costumes, and stances using cutting-edge technology created by Reality Labs. Once you achieve the desired look, the player can purchase a 3D-printed version of NFTs that is gorgeously displayed inside of a clear cube.
The NFTs will also come in a variety of rarities, giving owners of higher-tier NFTs more customising possibilities. Option to sell Assassin’s Creed NFTs on secondary marketplaces such as OpenSea will also be made available to lucky minters of rare NFTs.
Players are shifting from traditional gaming to web3 gaming. One of the key reasons is ownership of in-game asset. Basically the assets that are being rewarded in any of those Web3 games are usually digital assets, game NFTs, cryptocurrencies, etc. Players can sell these assets in the marketplace or crypto exchanges to earn real-world money. Plus Gamers have supreme decision-making authority over the game and its direction in the future. Games receive economic incentives for their involvement in the game. Games directly deal with gamers using smart contracts eliminating intermediaries.
