The success of blockchain gaming, according to a report by Dappradar and Pacificmedia, depends on Asia’s supremacy in the gaming industry and its development as a blockchain hub. Asia is the key region for the global gaming business, according to the DappRadar research, even without considering blockchain. A recent analysis found that the region, which has 1.7 billion gamers, generated $72 billion in revenue annually, or 52% of the total gaming market worldwide. With China, Japan, and South Korea setting the standard, East Asia is particularly dominant.
It is worth noting that the ‘Continent of contrasts’ is critical to the success of Web3 gaming. The report projects the region will continue to dominate the Web3 gaming ecosystem. Not only does the region have the highest number of gamers, but it’s also home to the biggest gaming companies. Sixty-two of the top 100 gaming firms are in South Korea, China, and Japan.
DappRadar and Pacific Meta’s study also concluded that the Asian market prefers the roleplay game genre the most. Talking about RPG games ..how can we even miss the prominent “Guild of Guardians”.
