Apple Mull Bringing Generative AI Capabilities To Siri
According to reports, Apple is daily investing millions of dollars in research and development to improve Siri’s conversational capabilities. According to reports, Apple has several AI models in development across different teams.
The Information claims that Apple has two additional teams working on creating image or language models in addition to Foundation Models, a division focused on conversational AI.
Apple’s visual intelligence unit is developing images, videos, and 3D scenes, similar to OpenAI’s Dall-E 2. Another team is working on multimodal AI that can recognize and produce images, videos, and text. One model could be used to create a chatbot for AppleCare users. Additionally, the company is working on Siri features to automate multi-step tasks with voice commands, such as creating GIFs from the last five photos taken.
