Anthropic is in talks to raise $10 billion at a valuation of $350 billion, underscoring continued momentum in artificial intelligence investment.
The round is expected to be led by Singapore’s sovereign-wealth fund GIC and Coatue Management, according to a Wall Street Journal report citing people familiar with the matter.
The proposed valuation would nearly double Anthropic’s $183 billion valuation from September, following its $13 billion Series F round. Founded in 2021 by former Google researcher Dario Amodei and his sister Daniela, Anthropic has seen growing adoption of its Claude chatbot, particularly among business and software development users.
The financing comes alongside planned investments of up to $15 billion from Nvidia and Microsoft. Anthropic expects to break even by 2028 and is reportedly preparing for a public listing this year, as competition intensifies with rivals such as OpenAI amid a global AI funding surge.
