AI Startup Imbue Gets $12 mn In Follow-On Funding
Imbue, an artificial intelligence startup, announced on Thursday that it has received an additional $12 million in follow-on funding to its Series B round, bringing its total cash raised to more than $210 million.
Amazon.com’s Alexa Fund and former Google CEO Eric Schmidt are among those who have invested in the round extension. Imbue announced its Series B round of $200 million in September, with a valuation of more than $1 billion.
Imbue, a company with significant funding, is working on developing foundation models for autonomous agents, AI systems capable of performing complex tasks like meeting scheduling or data analysis without close supervision. This is in response to the surge in generative AI, driven by foundation model developers like OpenAI, which launched ChatGPT last year.
