Ethereum Layer-2 DEXs Aerodrome and Velodrome will merge to form Aero, a unified cross-chain exchange launching in Q2 2026 on Ethereum Mainnet and Circle’s Arc blockchain.

With over $530 million in combined TVL, Aero aims to solve liquidity fragmentation across Layer-2 ecosystems. The merger, led by Dromos Labs, will enable seamless asset swaps and improved capital efficiency through new MetaSwap technology.

By combining Base’s Aerodrome and Optimism’s Velodrome, Aero becomes a central hub for Ethereum’s next-generation decentralized trading infrastructure.
